It is important to know not all home care agencies are alike.

When choosing an agency accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC) you and your family can rest assured that:

  • Only Certified Home Health Aides who have passed a 76-hour certification program approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing are employed.
  • There will be professional nursing supervision by Registered Nurses currently licensed by the New Jersey Board of Nursing of your certified home health aide.
  • Your Certified Home Health Aide is fully insured and the agency bonded, relieving you of the responsibility and expense.
  • Your Certified Home Health Aide has been carefully screened, including references, health, criminal background check, and certification.

In New Jersey, the best way to be sure that the health care services you receive meet the Gold Standard of Excellence is to use an agency that has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC).
